International Festival

The First annual International Day was held this past Sunday (Happy Mother's Day to all!) at the big campus of the girl's school.  We were all eager to go and eat and drink and enjoy good company for an afternoon as we have fabulous memories of our Food Fairs in Prague.

With twenty-two different nations supplying food and drink we had a plethora of choices, and I think we sampled them all!  As did the children, who we only saw at rare intervals as they stopped by for a quick hello and then went back to playing games of chance and constructing various crafts that were set up all over the back playground.  Thankfully, the thunderstorms they called for did not arrive until after 3 pm so we had a sunny, almost summery day for the festivities.

All in all, it was a great way to spend Mother's Day afternoon!

The girls had their names written in Japanese.

Origami table.

The American import store was there (and always very busy)

The girls each had a passport and each square gave them the ability to play a game, create a craft, or have their face/nails painted.  I almost wanted to go get one myself :)
