Beach Bubble Blowing
Each evening Lucy (Nana and Grampa's puppy) has her dinner and then goes for a romp on the beach. Since we have been here, it has been a part of our nightly routine too. And the girls were getting a bit bored with just walking up and down the beach. Bubble wands to the rescue. Suddenly the walk on the beach was a running, twirling, karate chopping fun time with bubbles blowing everywhere!

Monkeying Around
We got there just after an early lunch (we stopped on our way to satisfy one of my stateside cravings - Culvers). Once at the zoo we on and went in search of the animals. And for many of them we had to really search as it was a hot day, it was just after lunch and they were all off napping. Luckily, we made it in time for the Meet the Animals show which allowed us an up close and cage free view of some of the animals. Including the sloth, which made MadHatter squirm in delight as it is one of her favorite animals and being thisclose was a dream.
After the show, we found that more of the animals were awake and ready to be seen. We even got a chance to feed the giraffes a light snack!
It was a great, albeit hot, afternoon of family fun. We got to see some animals we had never seen before in any of our other zoo visits around the globe (Malayan Tigers! Sloth!) and generally just had a great time. Of course, the girls were right back in the pool once we got home but at least we got them out for a different sort of fun.

Life's a Beach
I haven't posted much in the past couple of days. Not because we haven't done anything or because I have no pictures but because I am truly on vacation. And because I feel like we have been living groundhogs day. Over and over again. And yes, I realize that is redundant. But it's true. We get up, laze around, head to the pool or the beach and eat lunch, more sunshine, dinner and bed - with maybe a midnight swim thrown in. And then every few days we realize that we must do something with our lives except laze around by the pool, so we head off to the zoo or to a great shopping area or to a restaurant. But then we always end up right back where we started from - the water...
Soon. Soon, I will post all of the things we have done and will still do. But for now, you will have to make do with some random daily snaps from my cell phone. Because I am just too relaxed to process photos at this point. Be warned - it will be an overload of sand and sea and gorgeous sunsets...
